Join Us for the Observe Like Artemis Challenge
Were you inspired by the Artemis II mission? On Earth Day, we launched the Observe Like Artemis Challenge. From now until the 22nd of May, show us what Earth means to you by taking GLOBE observations of your favorite features of Earth—whether it’s a cloud, a tree, a local waterway, or soil from a nearby forest! At the end of May, we’ll share how many observations were submitted for each sphere. Be sure to post some of your images on social media using our #ObserveLikeArtemis hashtag and tell us why the image is important to you!
Dr. Padi Boyd, deputy project scientist of the first Artemis Lunar Surface Science team at NASA recorded a special audio message for the GLOBE community, reflecting on Artemis and how astronauts observe Earth from space—complemented by satellites, instruments, and surface observations from GLOBE members.
You may recognize Dr. Padi Boyd as one of the hosts on NASA's Curious Universe podcast, sharing stories about NASA's work and, more recently, Artemis II.
